The Concise Profile of Mr Nicholas Bredimus — an Incredible Designer & Inventor
Taken note of how computerization has heavily redefined air travel and hospitality recently? The driving force behind this is New Jersey’s own Nicholas Bredimus. His career highlights include effort-saving software, aircraft safety improvements, and even the design of high-value homes. He’s brought astonishing passion to all these fields, too.
Anyone could have anticipated, of course, that with his family tree he was sure to reach the top. Traceable back to classical times and in fact Bredimus’ lineage has associations with several countries within Europe. Within the maternal line, for example, he hails from Scottish and German lines. The paternal line, by contrast, comes from present day Luxembourg and England, from where they migrated toward the end of the 1800s.
That remarkable spirit would serve them well on arrival. Nicholas, who would grow up with his four sisters and two brothers, was born to a father employed as a mechanical design engineer and his wife, a practicing nurse. He would go on to live in Texas, Arizona, Kansas City and Virginia.
What did he do with his pedigree and studies? A string of high powered posts were soon his, each of them as part of huge airlines. These included the vp position for Hughes Airwest, Trans World Airlines (TWA), and even Republic Airlines. Most celebrated, though, was his role as an inspired programmer working with the airlines.
Nicholas is certainly most acclaimed for the airplane maintenance management software he designed for US Airways, which eventually became an “old reliable” for airplane maintenance. He created numerous other pieces of software for the airline and hospitality industry as well, among them unmanned routines to deal with flight bookings, used by over 50 firms, to say nothing of the first desktop computer based room booking software for the hotel sector, the launch for which took place at more than 700 locations. He went on to develop QuikTix, the world’s first electronic ticketing network. Albeit it is his specialty, Nicholas Bredimus has also regularly worked on non-software fields. Responsible roles with American Express and American Airlines followed, and in the biggest move of all he launched a company of his own seventeen years ago. So is he still active? Absolutely — his savvy is in demand and at the ready no matter his having left prior interests behind. Currently, his inventiveness is found in luxury class homes boasting some of the cutting edge smart technologies on the planet.
