Rihanna has revealed that she is hoping to launch Cheryl Cole’s career in the US.

The ‘Take A Bow’ singer, who met Cheryl Cole when she performed on The X Factor, said that she believes the Girls Aloud star will be very popular with Americans.

Rihanna is quoted by The Mirror as saying: “Cheryl is cute and incredible. I think I could help break her in the US. She’d wow them – I’d love to have her on tour, in Europe or America.”

Rihanna recently declared that she wants to perform at Glastonbury Festival next summer.

Simon Cowell may not be able to afford Cheryl Cole returning as a judge on ‘The X Factor’ next year.

The reality TV mogul joked that, with the singer’s solo career taking off, she may be too famous to return to the programme’s judging panel in 2010.

He said: “I like the fact that the people we work with are successful, just not too successful!”

Cheryl, however, said at a press conference for ‘The X Factor’ she loved working as a mentor on the show and has no plans to leave, adding it is “not about the money”.

Meanwhile, the ‘Fight For This Love’ singer is presently on course to win the show for the second time since she joined the judging panel, with her act, Joe McElderry, bookmakers’ favourite to triumph over Olly Murs and Stacey Soloman.
