The Water Delivery Company receives the same question time and time again and in reply to that we’ll use these articles to give some simple guidelines to the most often . One of the basic things that seem to arise when someone gets a cooler for the first time is ‘The Drip Tray is Full – How Do I Drain It?’.After a while the drip tray of the water coolers will overflow and unless its drained you’ll get water damage – damaging a wooden or laminate floor or possibly damaging a carpet – so its imperative to drain the reservoir regularly. Another problem that can arise from not emptying the drip tray is the build up of bacteria and algae – the drip tray is unsanitary and it looks nasty. To begin – take off any grill which may sit on top of your drip tray. Many water coolers have this and they are there just to support the cup as you pour water. With a littel firm pressure the drip trays can readily unclip allowing the grill to be removed. Having removed the grill you’ll have a firmer hold on the drip tray itself. Again using firm pressure pull the drip reservoir towards you and you’ll find it unclips. Empty out any water into a sink or bucket. Give the inside of the drip reservoir a wipe with a soft cloth and you may like to use a little gentle cleansing fluid or detergent at this stage just to totally disinfect the drip tray and maximise its hygiene level. Once the dripreservoir is drained you can simply clip it back into its home using firm pressure. You’ll sense the click as it clips back into home. To coplete the process replace the grill if the tray has one and you’re all done!
