Magical Holiday Emergency Kit
With all the travel, gift buying, last minute cramming at work, and family issues, is it any wonder that some of us find the holidays more stressful than fun? If you get a little crazy during the holidays, take heart. Here’s a quick little magical emergency kit that you can use anytime things start to wrong this season. These helpful methods address not just the physical fatigue but also the psycho-emotional part of the holidays as well.
RESCUE REMEDY: This flower essence contains five separate essences guaranteed to relieve all kinds of shock or trauma. Take it for everything from a family quarrel to a fender-bender.
ANGELS: There are angels to help you with absolutely everything. Can’t find the gift you need? Hire an angel. Afraid the weather will interrupt your travel plans? Hire an angel. Just say, “I’d like to hire an angel of sun yellow, grass green and sky blue to help me with [your problem].” Wait a moment, then tell the angel what you want. Always, always thank them in advance and after they’ve given their help!
HUG THE FRIDGE: If you’re steaming mad this holiday and about to blow, take a moment to flow all that excess fire energy into your refrigerator. Anger and frustration are fire energy, and can be channeled just like electricity. Just put both hands on the fridge and release all that energy. You’ll feel better fast!
CROSS CRAWL: Oddly enough, if you feel unstable or unbalanced, you can restore your balance by getting down on all fours and crawling like a baby. Just make sure your opposite hand and knee strike the ground at the same time. It’s a scientifically proven method and some of the most successful people in the world, like John Paul Getty, have used it.
SWITCH SIDES: If you tend to get into old family patterns during the holidays, start using your non-dominant hand to do thingsit will break you out of old patterns. For instance, if you normally open doors or pick things up with your right hand, use your left hand for all of these tasks. Also, switch check how you put your shoes and pants onwhich foot goes first? Then change the order. Having to be conscious of daily tasks will bring you back into the moment and break those family patterns.

Best Ski Resorts in Europe
Tourism has been a booming industry for the past few decades and ski resorts have seen a surge in interest, but where are the best places to go in Europe to make the most of the snow and the nightlife?
For many people Val D’Isere remains the first choice. This area in the French Alps has become so popular with foreign visitors that you’ll be hard pushed to find a bar or shop where the locals don’t speak English.
The ski area is first class, as are the facilities away from the slopes. Of course, it’s sheer popularity may put some holiday-makers off. If you’re looking for a quiet week away then Val D’Isere may not be right for you.
St Anton in Austria is less well-known but also has a wonderful ski area. So great, in fact, that it recently hosted the World Championships. This provides a great platform for both skiing and snowboarding.
The Zermatt resort in Switzerland is another contender for the title of the best ski resort in Europe. It benefits from fine Alpine scenery, matching the sort of scenes that you might expect if you’ve ever seen any film footage of Switzerland.
Set in the centre of Europe, Switzerland is of course highly accessible for Europeans, but has recently been proving very popular with tourists from all over the world.
Many people are put off Switzerland and Austria because they believe that prices can be prohibitive. Whilst it’s certainly true that both countries have some very expensive resorts, such complaints can be applied to many European ski resorts. Equally, if you shop around you can still find some bargains in terms of both travelling to your chosen destination and making the most of your stay there.
There are plenty of great articles available online reviewing and describing the many European ski resorts, but this will hopefully have given you a taster of the finest resorts around.

No Shortage of Family Actvities in Ruidoso, New Mexico
Ruidoso, New Mexico is a lot of things to many people. A ski resort, a thriving horse racing destination and, more than anything, a great place to spend time with your family. And where can you find a more fun mix of activities and events for the kids than in Southern New Mexico!
Ruidoso has a wonderful assortment of activities for children of all ages. Enjoy horse back riding with four stables in town and one on the nearby Mescalero Apache Reservation. If it’s fishing you’re after the hot spots are at the Grindstone Dam, Mescalero Reservation and the mighty Rio Ruidoso River, stocked with plenty of good sized trout. Just be sure and have a local fishing license, easily obtainable at the local WalMart and Western Auto. If you don’t catch anything there, head on past the racetrack to Seeping Springs Trout Pond. They furnish the gear, the fishin’ hole and you only pay 50 cents an inch for what you catch no license required. Here’s the very best part…they clean them for you! My daugther took the family and came back with 4 lovely 12+ inch trout all ready for the grill.
Naturally, being in the mountains of New Mexico there’s plenty of hiking and nature. The Lincoln National Forest is a start with plenty of other diverse scenery nearby. If you’re after more urban pursuits, Fun Trackers Amusements in Ruidoso has go karts, bumper boats and goofy golf. That’s just for starters. Add in the history of the region and you’ve got a plateful.
Ruidoso has it’s own historical spots. There’s Dowlin’s Mill where Billy the Kid stayed. Don’t forget a stop at the Hubbard Museum of the American West for an enchanting look at the past for all ages.
Capitan, a scant twenty minutes from Ruidoso is home to the only American figure with their own zip code…Smokey Bear. The Smokey Bear Historical Park is packed with tips on preventing wild fires with plenty of interactive display for the children. There’s a small theater with regular showings, an informative garden area with many types of indigenous flora and of course the final resting spot of old Smokey himself. Always a tear there it seems.
In Lincoln, only 30 minutes away you’ve got the hub of the Lincoln County Wars. Characters like John Tunstall, Sheriff Bob Ollenger and of course William Bonney who became better known as Billy the Kid. It’s the bloodiest street in America…in any era…with a nice selection of museums, shops and original buildings. The classic Wortley Hotel which still operates seasonally and the Ellis Store, now a splendid bed and breakfast are just examples.
An hour south of Ruidoso is Alamagordo. Pay a visit to their zoo. Perhaps the really big screen calls from the IMAX theater. Mystified by the stars? The Space Museum is bound to enthrall. Don’t forget the allure of the magical White Sands National Monument…all great reasons to make the 60 minute drive.
Only 75 minutes out is the infamous Roswell, home to UFO buffs from around the world. Is it a weather balloon or something else? The UFO Museum has their opinion on the matter. Check them out!
If it seems like there are a lot of things to keep the kids loving the area, well that’s because there are! Frequently concerned parents who come to enjoy the race track or casinos ask, “Is there anything for the kids to do?”. You bet!

This is an absolute must see.
The Lake Cumberland area is steeped in tradition, and there are many sites nearby that are of historical interest. Carefully preserved and painstakingly restored, these destinations hark of days gone by and impart a true sense of nostalgia. In Monticello are the Wayne County Historical Society Museum and the Mill Springs Mill. The world’s largest in operation, this three-story grist mill grinds fresh corn meal that is available for sale in their gift shop. It sits above the lake shore with a scenic walk descending to the dock below. In nearby Sterns is the Barthell Coal Mining Camp and the Big South Fork Scenic Railway and outdoor museum. Located in Nancy are the Mill Springs Battlefield Park and the Mill Springs National Cemetery with memorial services open to the public.
An Arts and Crafts mecca, shoppers will find many places for antiquing throughout the area. Flea markets, warehouse salvage, orchards offering fresh produce and local art galleries add to this eclectic mix to provide a shopping experience that is both interesting and unique.

WSOP Rebuy: Is it Fair?
In the past, the WSOP has included rebuy events on the poker tournament docket. Just in case anyone needs a bit of explanation, rebuy events are events where the player is allowed to purchase their way back into the game buy paying for another buy in at the casino. There has been a lot of backlash against this policy lately, as some players claim that it gives na unfair advantage to wealthy players. It also gives an edge to players with sponsors that may be willing to bear the cost burden of an additional buy in to get their player back in the game.
In response to the poker online rumblings of unsatisfied players, the WSOP will be removing the rebuy events from the 2009 schedule. This is great news for the common poker player who want to be on equal footing as the big players. For players prone to mistakes, however, the lack of a rebuy could be more of a hardship than a help. Sometimes it is nice to know that you can recover from your mistakes. There are defitnely pros and cons to the rebuy issue, but the WSOP has officially taken the stand that they give some players an unfair advantage. It’s up to you to decide for yourself whether you support this position.

Living Abroad: The Top 3 Reasons to Emigrate From The U.K. to an Overseas Paradise
Talk to most British citizens and you will soon find that many would gladly move overseas to live in paradise if you gave them just half a chance! Of course no one seems to actually act on this whim – but in this article we take a look at the top 3 reasons why there seems to be such an overwhelming desire to quit the U.K!
1) The weather! Yes, you guessed it, top of the list is the climate. Britons are famed for talking about, and more appropriately, moaning about the weather. And they have every reason to moan!
The UK enjoys very little sunshine, lots of wind and rain, and for 60% of the year temperatures tend to be uncomfortably cold. British winters are harsh, and lengthy. The fact that the UK is firmly in the Northern part of Europe also leads to very dark winters. “Seasonally adjusted disorder” (appropriately named SAD!) is a common disorder which spreads depression among many British citizens for over half the year from September to March. Scientists have shown that it is caused by low light levels and short hours of daylight. Many people don’t even know that they suffer from it, they just presume that their depression is caused by other factors. Now on sale (at premium UK prices) are special fluorescent lights to assist people due to the fact that the UK doesn’t get much sunshine!
All of these explanations are of course of no consequence or consolation to UK citizens. Bad, unpredictable weather will always be a fact of life for people who choose to live in Britain and that is a fact! The ideal weather according to most Brits, is warm sunny days, no wind or rain, and a predictable climate that’s not too hot but that never gets too cold. This ideal climate cannot be found in Britain and so the weather remains the top reason why many would emigrate!
2)High Taxes! Predictably, number two on the list is the unrelenting and almost ridiculous level of tax that British people must endure. Not content with taking an arguably fair share of peoples’ salary at source, the UK government seems very intent on getting British people to pay a lot more all over again in stealth taxes.
Petrol (gasoline) prices are an obvious example where stealth taxation has gone completely out of control. The typical price for a gallon of petrol in the UK is around £4 (or US$7.20) It is the same petrol that U.S. citizens pay barely $2 a gallon for. Indeed $2 is simply the price that it should be, but in Britain the Government sees it fit to add 200%+ of tax to this global base-price. There is no getting around this… if you buy petrol in the UK you must cough up this very large amount of extra cash every time you fill up.
In addition, to illustrate the fact that British stealth taxes are hiked to the max, a growing number of Brits now travel to France or Holland just to buy their weekly groceries! All this energy and hassle to get around UK taxation, is it worth it? You bet it is… that’s because the savings can by enormous due to the high levels of UK import duties on everything from textiles to just a simple bottle of wine.
The only way to be free from these terrible burdens and escape these taxes forever, is to leave the UK for good!
3) Transport. Getting around this relatively small country is by all accounts, a nightmare. In fact you would have thought that the benefits of a small island (i.e. shorter distances and therefore less expensive building costs for roads and railways) would mean that transport would be of the highest quality. Not so. The UK fails almost completely. Public transport in the form of Rail and Bus services is expensive, of poor quality and makes the word “inconvenient” sound like the understatement of the century!
For those without a car, getting around really is a very frustrating and unpleasant day-to-day hassle. In suburbs and out of major cities, public transport services are virtually incompetently run, shutting down in the early evening and only giving sparse cover in less populated areas. It is not uncommon for people to abandon their travel plans altogether for fear of getting ’stranded’ at their destination! Pensioners and single parents fair particularly badly.
Is it any wonder that the poor person waiting for 45 minutes at a bus stop in freezing wintry weather is dreaming of a life in paradise far away from the UK!
Jack Miles, founding author of “The Complete Guide To Emigrating from the U.K. to Paradise”, wrote the Guide to help people in the UK escape to a stress-free life in a stunning location. The guide shows subscribers how to enjoy a life in paradise even on modest means. How to eat well and live well for next to nothing. It reveals the secret shortlist of Golden Location — the few hidden places where you really can have it all for peanuts. Plus information on property prices, exchange rates, car and motorbike purchases, basic living expenses and more. The guide is dynamically updated, using first-hand information prepared by a number of on-location reporters.
Jack recently appeared live on CNBC to answer viewers’ questions about emigrating. Afterwards he commented “The latest release is quite an eye-opener. For anyone looking to escape to a better lifestyle, “The Complete Guide to Emigrating from the U.K. to Paradise” is all you could wish for.”

Practical Tips To Keep In Mind When Buying Properties At Public Auctions
Purchasing and selling estates on public sales should be trouble-free and gainful for both sides. Locate auctions though is not that simple process. Particulars as regards the estate for sale on a public auction can be found in the local and national press, or on the web. Estate agents time and again hold information of assets to be sold on auctions as well. Nonetheless the simplest system of discovering public auctions is to note down the contact numbers of any “Auction Sale” notice. Overseas property experts online have a large range of properties for sale in Thailand.
There’s normally a price to be on the auctioneers mailing list and for having sent an index with photographs and particulars that concern the properties. Free of charge catalogues are typically not worth it.
You’ve just got nearly one month to realize what’s coming on by public sale, so action is required as soon as possible.
The variety of house largely sold are the one-offs that agents finds not easy to value or to put up for sale, and that possess expansion potential.
Public auctions are also appealing for the repossession lands presented for sale by banks, which habitually are bargain and have little reserve prices. As soon as possible before the public sale pay a quick visit and possess a good look at the asset. Look into the neighbourhood, and, vital, arrange with your solicitor to proceed with the necessary exploration – like an official inspection and a professional evaluation.
It’s intelligent to put your resources, and very essential, make plans for the finance to set down a deposit, commonly 10 percent on the public sale day, and the remaining 90 percent in the following 28 days after the auction. If you are victorious, you have to put down the 10 percent to the auctioneer soon after and the seller’s agent has to underwrite the Memorandum of Agreement. Penalties for disappointment to satisfy the approved price are grave.
Keep in mind that if you are outbid you will throw away the cash you have spent on the investigation plus the legal costs, but it is worth informing the mediator of the amount you are set to spend for a special land that has been withdrawn; you never know, in several cases the salesperson may be enthusiastic to say yes your offer.
The public sale accord is equivalent to exchange of agreements in the ordinary sale by not public accord. Which also implies that the buyer can’t be gazumped and the seller is not bothered of final fee renegotiations.

Living and Working In Perthshire
Perthshire is situated centrally in Scotland being about one hours drive from both of the major cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh. There are good road and rail links, an airport in Edinburgh and an international airport in Glasgow.
Perthshire is a beautiful scenic area and has been a popular tourist area in the past especially with people who like the outdoors and activities such as walking and cycling. The world spotlight fell upon the area recently when Gleneagles played host to the G8 Summit.
Perthshire was once voted best place to live and has attracted the attention of a few who have considered relocating to the area or thought of moving their business or setting up new businesses here.
If you are thinking of relocating to Perthshire it is important to consider carefully all the facts before making such an important decision that will affect both you and your family.
It is important to note that Perthshire is a rural area and the economy still very much revolves around farming, land and tourism. Although Perth itself is often referred to as the “Fair City” it is in fact a town and has never been granted city status which means that the area does not attract major funding for economic development. The average earnings in Perthshire are acknowledged by Perth and Kinross Council as being lower than the rest of Tayside and Scotland.
In terms of school education which should be a key factor in the decision making process, the council also report that most exam results in secondary schools were said to be below the average for similar authorities in 2004.
Perthshire is really akin to a market town and the business community are very close knit which makes it very difficult for new businesses coming to the area to make a go of it. Major new business developments have been prevented from establishing themselves in Perthshire and have gone elsewhere to places such as Dundee who recognise the importance of bringing in new talent and new businesses to their city.
We hope to give an unbiased view of what it’s really like to live and work in Perthshire as an outsider and to help you make the right decision if you are deciding to relocate.
Perthshire is the home of Business Perthshire, an information packed website of articles gathered and collated from the media designed to assist all quality businesses in Perth and offer useful tourism information for the visitor.
