Heads-Up Poker is the climax to every single game of Texas Holdem, if you are going to win you will always face a heads up situation. Heads up poker is where you play one-on-one against a single opponent and whether you start off with two players in the game or two thousand, the result is always the same – a heads up between the final two players.

If you start with a high number of players, or indeed any number of players bigger than two, the game will lose one of them at a time as they run out of chips until you are left with the final pairing – the heads-up.

Now heads up poker is different from the rest of the tournament and requires a different mindset in order to be successful. Nowhere is the contrast more stark than in online Texas Holdem poker play and if you’ve never made it to the final of a Hold ‘em tournament you are in for a rollercoaster ride when you do!

The pace is extremely fast and furious with little or no time to think, you are relying mostly on your experience and quick thinking to pull you through.

But the number one strategy you need to adopt when playing heads up poker online is to be aggressive. It is a ruthless winner-takes-all situation and if you don’t show enough determination and aggression, your opponent almost certainly will and you will quickly wilt under the onslaught.

You need to call almost every hand, after all you’re paying for the blinds so if you don’t call it your opponent gets to keep the blinds for free. Remeber also that when it gets to this stage, the blinds are at their highest so every hand is important to win. You can’t afford to let one go for free unless you feel you have absolutely no chance of winning the hand.

Of course a Holdem hand that you would probably fold in a ten player situation is often one that you can go all-in with at heads up. Any Ace at all is certainly worth raising and re-raising, the chances are your opponent is adopting a similar strategy to you and he may be going in with a King or Queen along with a lower card.

Say for example you are dealt King-Eight. Now at a ten player poker tournament you would most probably fold this hand in early position, but call or possibly even raise in late position. In a heads-up situation you would be perfectly entitled to go all-in with a reasonable expectation of winning the hand if it got played out.

Vary your play and if you find yourself in front in chips, be even more aggressive! Don’t be afraid to put in a big raise with no hand, your opponent will most likely back down unless he has a big hand.

The bottom line is this for heads up poker – attack or be attacked!

In a recent article entitled “Ten Steps to An Ideal Relationship” I noted that step 10 was about continuing one’s own personal growth.

A relationship will grow stagnant if either of the partners stops growing emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually. In the same way that you would nurture a child’s growth one must continually nurture one’s own.

Many individuals spend most of their time trying to get into a relationship that once there they forget the need to continue growing. Instead they often “settle in” and expect that everything will take care of itself.

Well doesn’t that sound and feel just a bit boring?

You see a relationship is not a static entity. Rather it is alive and needs to be nurtured through the emotional, intellectual and spiritual growth of each partner in order to keep it alive.

So what do I mean by personal growth?

Often we unfortunately only think of growth as simply a physical process. Once you’re an adult then I suppose some might say “I’ve made it”.

Well from my experience of life and relationships one must continue to learn, experience and understand the deeper foundations of one’s self, one’s partner, the emotional, intellectual, sexual and spiritual connections that exist there, as well as one’s mutual goals and aspirations.

Learning how to integrate, communicate, negotiate, intimate and so on is what it means to come into one’s full potential as a human being.

Relationships, in my view are a necessary and wonderful venue by which one can experience the emergence of one’s complete self.

It has been my experience that this can lead to a feeling of joy, contentment, fullness, wholeness, inner peace, completeness, self awareness, self confidence, self esteem and the unfolding of one’s Authentic and Multipotent Self.

Web design is crucial to your business. Your ecommerce website is sure to bring you the best rankings and the customers to make the sales as long as you look for the best web design options out there. Now, there are several roads that you can go. You’ll need to decide which the right one for you is. Neither is a perfect choice but you’ll need to settle on something here for your web design.

Do It Yourself

Probably one of the most significant ways to make your dreams come true is to do the work yourself. If you are skilled in this area, you are likely not to have much trouble. You will need to design the website, though, in a way in which it will attract visitors not just you. So, you’ll need to look outside the box here. You’ll need to know what will trigger your visitors to make a choice one way or the other for your website.

You’ll also need to invest the time that it takes to design a website. This is not easy especially when you want it up and running yesterday. But, if you want to save money and to have a website that serves your desires the best, making it yourself is often the best routes to go.

Hire The Professionals

Okay, so you are going to invest more money in this route, but you will also get a professional set up that is still within your control. Many web design firms are out there. They can discus with you just what you want and need. From there, you’ll find options that you like or hate and make the right choices. You’ll pay them to do the work and they will deliver for your high quality, professional results. Your time investment here is minimal and you may actually be able to get the work done faster if you allow someone else to do it.

Which is the right choice for you in your needs for web design?

If you live in the gulf coast area for any length of time,
you’ll probably experience a hurricane or two. There are all
kinds of hurricanes, some mild as a thunderstorm, others major
cataclysmic events. Being prepared is the key to hurricane and
disaster survival. Read these tips to keep your home and family
safe.

1. Emergency Kit- Although there is not much you can do during a
hurricane, you may need an emergency kit for after the storm.
While the first choice is to make one yourself, if you don’t
have the time, wilderness survival kits can be purchased at
hunting or sporting goods stores and make a good substitute.
Your emergency kit list should include first aid items, fresh
water, snacks, matches, candles, medications, and a radio with
spare batteries. Power, water, and phone lines may be out during
the storm, so you may need these.

2. Train Your Family- With hurricanes and other disasters, you
can never be overly prepared. Create a plan with your family,
with a system of specific tasks to be done in order to ready
your house and family for the hurricane. Pick a place for your
family to meet in, in case of separation. Practice going to the
place a couple times a year so everyone remembers what to do
when a hurricane hits.

3. Know Your Area – This means knowing your town’s roads in case
you need to flee the area. When the local authorities issue an
evacuation order, take it seriously. Know alternate routes to
safe ground, and where emergency shelters are in your area. Do
not wait until the last minute to leave or may run into traffic
slowdowns. 4. Supplies- If you live in an area that is prone to
bad weather, you should make sure you always have adequate
stores of food and water in your home. Making sure you have at
least a 7 day supply of any vital medications is also a good
idea. If you believe a storm is coming, fill up buckets, sinks,
and bathtubs with as much water as you can.

5.-Educate Yourself – When a disaster like a hurricane strikes,
you may find that you need a diversity of skills to survive.
Signing up for a first aid class in CPR, basic carpentry or
skills is a good way to be prepared while learning something new.

6. Fill “Er Up- Living in an area near the coast, it’s a good
idea to never let your gas tank fall below half full. If your
town gets flooded, the gas stations may become inoperable,, but
you will still have enough gasoline to get out of town.

There exists some ephemeral quality that separates gamers from
the rest of humanity, some thing that makes us, us and them, not
us. I’ve never been able to quite put my finger on it, but it is
inescapably there. Today, in hopes of moving closer to that
essential quality of gamerosity, we examine part of what makes
us tick. In particular, we take a look at what draws different
types of gamers to the hobby. Every gamer plays for different
reasons, but there are common threads that tie the experience
together.

Many gamers are motivated by the challenge a game can present.
Success in a game may be governed by any of a wide variety of
abilities. A First Person Shooter requires twitch reflexes, a
steady hand and the ability to remain calm under pressure. A
word puzzle game may require an extensive vocabulary and the
ability to rethink the uses of old words, but no measure of
speed. A sports simulation might well require an in-depth
knowledge of the topic, in addition to arcade skill, but is
unlikely to have terribly much concern for linguistic acumen.

The common thread is that all of the games challenge some subset
of a player’s abilities. This challenge can be a powerful
motivator. The Challenge Motivated gamer is drawn to a game that
tests their skills, preferably one that tests them to their
limits. The gamer may also be motivated by the natural
improvement that comes from working at peak. They are driven
then, not only to excel, but to improve. Challenge Motivated
Gamers thrive whenever a game pushes their skill set of choice,
but may be disinterested in games that fall too far away from
the target.

Competition is a close cousin of challenge. Many gamers are
driven by the need to prove they are the best, to be pitted
against their fellows and come out on top. Competition minded
gamers range from those looking for a challenge in a fair fight
to the sort of win-at-all cost leet speaking infants that give
us all a bad name. Competition can be easy to take too far.
There is nothing inherently wrong with being driven by
competition. To some extent, competition is merely challenge
taken to the extreme. It is only when it leads to mistreating
your fellow player that it begins to become less a motivation
and more an unfortunate personality quirk. Competition Motivated
players thrive on those games where they are pitted against one
another with the outcome dictated by skill at playing the game.
They will often wane in those environments that either require
cooperation, such as many MMORPGs, or in games where skill plays
a much smaller role, such as in less sophisticated card or dice
games.

Next week we will take a look at some other common gamer
motivations, including Creativity and Escapism.

Adults are vulnerable to personal and professional embarrassment from poor performance in the training program. Poor performance in the classroom may become the basis for personnel decisions by supervisors or the source of ridicule by peers. Economic benefits or promotion may be associated with the training program, creating a feeling of pressure to succeed. The way you handle these fears will largely determine the effectiveness and usefulness of your training program. To fail to recognize that adults have legitimate fears, or to treat them as children, is to guarantee failure.

Because adults tend to be more critical than children and are used to having more control of their environments than children, it is particularly important to provide learning environments that are comfortable both physically and psychologically. Each adult has a unique expectation of the course. Trainers must allow students to clarify and articulate these expectations before getting into the content. New knowledge and information must be integrated with adults’ previous knowledge. This requires active learner participation, a supportive atmosphere, and freedom of expression. Adults take errors personally, and are more likely than children to let them affect their self-esteem. Therefore, they tend to use tried and true solutions and to be unwilling to take risks. Trainers should design risks which feel safe and calculated.

Training that is in conflict with the basic values of an adult is unlikely to be effective. The trainer must be very conscious of the values of the people in a training program and structure the material so that these basic values are not threatened. However, the concepts presented in the course should also be explained from another perspective to give trainees a broader understanding. This quote by Edward Lindeman sums up the notion that adults must receive special treatment in the classroom if training programs are to be effective. “None but the humble become good teachers of adults. In an adult class the students’ experience counts as much as the teacher’s knowledge.”

Vitamins, like minerals, are an essential part of the function
and health of the body system. While many vitamins serve
individual purposes, the more common way for vitamins to
function properly is as cofactors to or in partnership with
other vitamins, minerals, nutrients and other substances in the
body such as enzymes. Some of the most important processes in
the body are the result of Vitamins partnering with each other
to achieve certain affects, processes or functions.

Two of the most essential and most powerful vitamin partnerships
are the group of eight vitamins that make up the nutritional
powerhouse that is collectively known as the Vitamin B complex
and the group of three vitamins that are known as the
antioxidant vitamins. In addition to these, there are varieties
of other combinations of vitamins that serve essential purposes
within the body thus preserving health and enhancing function.

The vitamins that make up the Vitamin B complex include Vitamin
B1 (Thiamin), Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin), Vitamin B3 (Niacin),
Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid), Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine), Vitamin
B9 (Folic Acid or simply Folate), Vitamin B12 (Cobalamin) and
Biotin (Vitamin H).

The degree to which the Vitamin B complex affects bodily
function and health, as well as the function and health of the
mind in terms of cognitive processes and emotional balance and
stability is nothing but amazing. The Vitamin B complex is at
work in and is essential to every major system of the body and
is a part of almost every important function and process.

The group of vitamins that is known as the antioxidant group is
made up of Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Vitamin A. Each of these
vitamins are powerful agents on their own, serving individual
essential purposes in the body. But they are their most powerful
and useful when they combine their strengths thus serving as
antioxidants. They function to rid the body of the cell and
tissue damaging free radicals that have been associated with a
variety of degenerative processes and diseases including the
effects of the basic aging process and the declining abilities
of the mind. Some studies have suggested connections between
free radicals and such infirmities as heart disease and
Alzheimer’s disease.

Free radicals are destabilized molecules, created when a
weakened molecule splits and leaves the free radical without one
of the electrons it needs. Weakened molecules can result from
the body’s natural metabolic processes as well as from
environmental contaminants such as pollution. The free radicals
attack other molecules in the effort to take the electron that
it is missing. This damages the attacked molecule, making it a
free radical too. When enough free radicals emerge in a cell, it
can cause cellular damage, which, as more free radicals continue
to be produces, can cause tissue damage. Antioxidants bring
these free radicals under control by giving them the electron
that they need, bringing to an end their aggressive behavior
against other molecules. Because of this, antioxidants are
sometimes even coined as the Fountain of Youth of the New Age.

Nutritional supplements can ensure that your body has enough of
the nutrients it needs to support these important partnerships.
Attention to nutrition is one of the most important things you
can do for the overall health of mind and body.

Dan – A Great Coach
My wife, my daughter and I had been eagerly anticipating my daughter’s first lesson with Dan, her new batting coach. Of course, we heard how good he was. Our next door neighbor spoke glowingly of Dan’s expertise as a batting coach for girls.
For the first lesson the three of us ( my daughter, wife and I) were nervous about how this arrangement would work out. Would she respond to him, and could she relate to him so they could develop rapport so needed between coach and student? Would his rotational hitting style be the framework from which our daughter could expand her hitting and start driving the ball on a consistent basis? Practicing after the lessons were just as important as the lessons themselves. Would Manteee apply his style? Our concerns were soon answered.
After the first lesson, I knew, that Dan was the man. He listened to our daughter. He spoke to her and not at her. I could see that the relationship was developing between my daughter and her coach. She was following his instructions.
After a few weeks, I could see improvement. Her bat was making that solid sound hitters love to hear when they sting a ball. She was hitting in her league games with more authority. Driving the ball to the outfield. I could see her being much more confident. She is talking doubles and triples for the first time. I am thankful, appreciative and impressed for her
In my opinion if you or your son or daughter is interested in excelling as a hitter, having the right batting coach could make a huge difference. The time spent one on one developing her swing and stance has made my daughter a much better hitter in as little as six weeks.
Do you think Ty Cobb was getting batting tips?

House training a shih tzu puppy is very important for the well
being of both the shih tzu puppy and the owner. The number one
reason that dogs are surrendered to animal shelters is problems
with inappropriate elimination, so it is easy to see why proper
house training is such an important consideration.

It is important to establish proper toilet habits when the shih
tzu puppy is young, since these habits can last a lifetime, and
be very hard to break once they are established. It is very
important for the owner to house break the shih tzu puppy
properly. In most cases, true house training cannot begin until
the shih tzu puppy is six months old. Puppies younger than this
generally lack the bowel and bladder control that is needed for
true house training.

Shih Tzu puppies younger than six months should be confined to a
small, shih tzu puppy proofed room when the owner cannot
supervise them. The entire floor of the room should be covered
with newspapers or similar absorbent materials, and the paper
changed every time it is soiled. As the shih tzu puppy gets
older, the amount of paper used can be reduced as the shih tzu
puppy begins to establish a preferred toilet area. It is this
preferred toilet area that will form the basis of later house
training.

The Do’s of House Training Your Puppy: Always provide the shih
tzu puppy with constant, unrestricted access to the established
toilet area. When you are at home, take the shih tzu puppy to
the toilet area every 45 minutes.

When you are not at home or cannot supervise the shih tzu puppy,
you must be sure the shih tzu puppy cannot make a mistake. This
means confining the shih tzu puppy to a small area that has been
thoroughly puppy proofed. Puppy proofing a room is very similar
to baby proofing a room, since puppies chew on everything.

Always provide a toilet area that does not resemble anything in
your home. Training the shih tzu puppy to eliminate on concrete,
blacktop, grass or dirt is a good idea. The shih tzu puppy
should never be encouraged to eliminate on anything that
resembles the hardwood flooring, tile or carpet he may encounter
in a home. Praise and reward your shih tzu puppy every time he
eliminates in the established toilet area. The shih tzu puppy
must learn to associate toileting in the established areas with
good things, like treats, toys and praise from his owner.

Always keep a set schedule when feeding your shih tzu puppy, and
provide constant access to fresh, clean drinking water. A
consistent feeding schedule equals a consistent toilet schedule.

Using a crate can be a big help in helping a shih tzu puppy
develop self control. The concept behind crate training is that
the shih tzu puppy will not want to toilet in his bed area.

And finally, it is important to be patient when house training a
shih tzu puppy. House training can take as long as several
months, but it is much easier to house train right the first
time than to retrain a problem dog.

The Don’ts of House Training Your Shih Tzu Puppy Never reprimand
or punish the shih tzu puppy for mistakes. Punishing the shih
tzu puppy will only cause fear and confusion.

Do not leave food out for the shih tzu puppy all night long.
Keep to a set feeding schedule in order to make the dog’s toilet
schedule as consistent as possible.

Do not give the shih tzu puppy the run of the house until he has
been thoroughly house trained.

House training is not always the easiest thing to do, and some
dogs tend to be much easier to house train than others. It is
important, however to be patient, consistent and loving as you
train your shih tzu. A rushed, frightened or intimidated shih
tzu will not be able to learn the important lessons of house
training. Once you have gained your shih tzu puppy’s love and
respect, however, you will find that house training your shih
tzu puppy is easier than you ever expected.

The wine regions of Austria are divided into 4 areas, called Lower Austria, Styria, Burgenland, and Vienna. Each of these regions is then further divided, for a total of 19 designated wine growing areas. To roughly get your bearings, Lower Austria encompasses the wine growing areas north and west of Vienna, with Burgenland south and east of Vienna and Styria south and west of Burgenland.

Vienna is the only national capital in the world with an economically significant wine industry within its city limits. Some 400 wine growers work the 1730 acres, producing a range of wines from great to merely drinkable, the latter being enjoyed mixed with sparkling mineral water and called G’Spritzr, which is bought in the jolly wine-gardens known as Heurige. In fact, almost all of the wine produced in the vineyards of Vienna is used to slake the thirst of the Viennese, with only very small amounts being exported. This Heurige culture dates back to the time of Charlemagne, but was officially recognized in 1784 by Emperor Josef II. Today there are about 180 licensed Heurige in Vienna, and there is nothing quite as enjoyable as a summer afternoon spent outside at a long Heurige table, drinking the local wine and tasting the local foods.

The oldest Viennese vineyards are officially documented in 1132, but the winegrowing tradition began in Vienna with the Celts, when the city was a village called Vidunia whose people planted vines on the slopes of what are now known as the Vienna Woods. A more systematic viticulture came with the Roman Empire, when the village was a military port called Vindobona. By the middle ages, vineyards were planted in every part of the city, and the winemaking culture was so important that when the Turks laid siege to the city, the Viennese held them off bravely until the Turks began burning the vineyards. That was too much to bear. They surrendered.

The region is divided roughly into two areas: the Bisamberg to the Northeast, with its loam and gravel loess, and the Kahlenberg in the northwest, with its shell limestone. It is widely accepted that the best vineyards are in the Kahlenberg, and the best of those is the Nussberg, which is planted predominantly with Riesling and Grner Veltliner. The important wine districts of Vienna include Heiligenstadt (of which Nussberg is a part), Sievering, Neustift am Walde, and Grinzing. The wine districts of Bisamberg are called Stammersdorf, Strebersdorf, and Jedlersdorf.

The main grape variety grown in Vienna is Grner Veltliner, but one can find Riesling, Neuburger, Traminer, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Zweigelt, Cabernet Sauvignon and a few other varietals planted as well. The best wines come from the wineries Wieninger, Winzerhof, Zahel, Christ, and Weingut der Stadt Wien Cobenzl. Wieninger’s vineyards include the famous Nussberg, so a good bet would be to seek out his Grner Veltliner Nussberg (2000 is a good vintage) and his Nussberg Alte Reben, which is a cuvee of a few different varietals. While it may be difficult to find these wines in your local shop, a search online will produce a few different places to purchase the great wines of Austria.
